Bletchley Youth Centre in the late 1960's to the mid 1970's was an extraordinary place. Like a "normal" youth club there were football teams and other sports and activities. Unlike other youth clubs It was managed by Barrie Field who had a very open minded attitude to we youths. There was the coffee bar, with one of the best stocked juke boxes ever, that was open every evening for us to hang out in. Music was my main interest in life, an attitude that I shared with many of my peers. So yes we went camping and rock climbing and learned some crafting but mainly we went to gigs. About every two weeks on Sundays for most of the year the bands came to us. This was a special place and time in my teenage years. Thank you Barrie and all the others that pitched in to help make such a special place and time.
